To remain exempt from Building Regulations, conservatory roofs must be transparent or translucent and the walls must be a minimum 75% glazing (see Conservatories Building Regulations).

The Digitemp Conservatory Air Conditioning unit from Xpelair is an all in one air conditioning unit. Many conventional split systems have a large outdoor condenser box and exposed pipework. The Xpelair Digitemp is designed to operate without the external units or the associated pressurised pipe work used on conventional systems. Two grilles cover the external holes, leaving a pleasant external finish.
